The 2010 OSCAs

The NatWest OSCAs are the ECB’s Outstanding Service to Cricket Awards and are aimed at recognising and rewarding those volunteers who give so much of their time to the game of cricket.

It’s fair to say that cricket could not survive without its huge army of unsung heroes. It includes small gestures like making teas at a fundraiser, and bigger gestures like coaching the juniors of the team. No doubt there are some volunteers out there now who are coaching both County and England stars of the future.

The NatWest OSCAs ceremony is held every year at Lord’s Cricket Ground and is attended by over 300 people. 2009 saw almost 400 nominations put forward from the counties for the seven different categories.

We would like you to nominate those volunteers working in your club that you feel deserve a special recognition. The categories for nominating volunteers this year are as follows:

Behind the Scenes
Building Partnerships
Leagues and Boards
Lifetime Achiever
NatWest CricketForce
Outside the Scorebox
Young Volunteer

Attached are the judging criteria for each category and also a nomination form as well as a note from KCB giving all the details that are needed to make a nomination.
