The Maidstone District has its own website at http://www.maidstonecricketacademy.org.uk/

The aim of the Maidstone District Academy is to:

  • Introduce to as many boys and girls the game of cricket and develop the game at grass roots level, making cricket stronger at school and club level
  • Organise coaching sessions within the district for boys and girls up to 17 years old
  • Identifying talented players and recommending them for district, area and county trials
  • Develop a club/schools link
  • Link with the local authority and private providers to meet the needs of cricket
  • Provide courses for adults (men and women) to hone their skills for the coming season
  • Encourage parents to get involved with cricket development and give them the opportunity to participate by providing an overview of the skills required

The Maidstone District Partnership have organised an indoor 6-a-side competition at the new YMCA Centre in Maidstone for the New Year.

It runs for 10 weeks from Sunday January 15th 2012: places are limited so if your Club are interested in taking part all the details are in the attached notice.
