The aim of the Maidstone District Academy is to:

Introduce to as many boys and girls the game of cricket and develop the game at grass roots level, making cricket stronger at school and club level

Organise coaching sessions within the district for boys and girls up to 17 years old

Identifying talented players and recommending them for district, area and county trials

Develop a club/schools link

Link with the local authority and private providers to meet the needs of cricket

Provide courses for adults (men and women) to hone their skills for the coming season
-
Encourage parents to get involved with cricket development and give them the opportunity to participate by providing an overview of the skills required
