]]></content></entry><entry><title>A timely reminder for all Umpires</title><category>News</category><id>http://www.kentcricketboard.co.uk/kcb-association-of-cricket-off/2008/4/23/a-timely-reminder-for-all-umpires.html</id><link rel="alternate" type="text/html" href="http://www.kentcricketboard.co.uk/kcb-association-of-cricket-off/2008/4/23/a-timely-reminder-for-all-umpires.html"/><author><name>System Manager</name></author><published>2008-04-23T18:49:58Z</published><updated>2008-04-23T18:49:58Z</updated><content type="html" xml:lang="en-GB"><![CDATA[<p><strong>A timely reminder at the beginning of this season that all Umpires are required to ensure that they receive from both Captains a completed <em>and signed </em>Team Sheet <em>before</em> the match begins.</strong></p><p>The Team Sheet is a vitally important document which enables Umpires to ensure all ECB guidelines and directives are being complied with.&nbsp; Without it, that part of their duties cannot be properly carried out.</p><p>Umpires are charged with seeing that young players wear the appropriate safety equipment, that they field according to the guidelines for their age group and that&nbsp;they bowl&nbsp;no more than the allowed maximum in any period.&nbsp; Umpires are instructed to intervene if they believe any of the guidelines are being broken.</p><p>The way to ensure that correct information is available is the signed Team Sheet.</p><p>Most Umpires who are members of the Association will have access to Team Sheets supplied by ECB.&nbsp; If you as an Umpire, or for anyone acting on behalf of a Club, do not have a supply sufficient for the season, KCB has obtained some.&nbsp; Please contact&nbsp;the Community Cricket&nbsp;Manager for your area who will arrange for some to be sent to you.</p><p><strong>In the meantime we have made <a href="http://www.kentcricketboard.co.uk/storage/20080423TeamSheet2007.pdf">the template available for download</a> on this site for you to print some of your own.</strong></p>
