It is however particularly relevant to those working towards ClubMark accreditation and for all prospective Kent Focus Club Community Clusters.

We all have to be aware that in the society in which we now live we have to protect all our young players, vulnerable adults and the vast army of volunteers in local cricket clubs who give their time so willingly to develop junior and senior cricket.

The ECB has designed a specific three hour course to complete CWO’s training for awareness and procedures to follow in and beyond the club.

The next course will be at Addington Village Cricket Club on January 17th 2008 and full details and an application form can be downloaded from this site.

Ideally, participants should have attended the sportscoachuk Good Practice and Child Protection (now re-named ‘Safeguarding and Protecting Children’) course, prior to this course.  Contact www.kentsport.org for general course information.
