Kent Young Cricketers Under 13 Girls vs Middlesex 27th July 2010
This was a re-arranged game and took place at Brookland CC. Hollie Summers won the toss and decided to bowl which came as no surprise as the weather did not look promising.
All the Kent bowlers seemed relaxed knowing that the quarter final place was assured and they set about the task of bowling Middlesex out.
Although strong resistance was shown by Middlesex they were bowled out in the last over for 85. Two wickets each for Sarah Martins, Meg Belt and back to form Maisy Blackbourn.
When Kent batted, Hollie Summers was out for 0 off the third ball of the innings. Shottie Hopkins then joined Rowena Squires at the crease to hit a brisk 23 before being out LBW. Another wicket fell with score unchanged and Hannah Mount then joined Rowena with the two of them taking Kent to their winning target of 86 in the 19th over. Rowena carryied her bat for 32 not out and Hannah chipped in with 11 not out.
