Kent Under 13 Girls, led by Hollie Summers, made a winning start to their 2010 campaign when they entertained their Sussex counterparts at Kemsing CC.

Having won the toss Kent elected to bat and after a first over maiden, Kent openers Hollie Summers and Rowena Squires put on 117 for the opening stand with Hollie summers going on to retire not out on 103.

Some useful contributions from Phoebe Franklin with 29 and Megan Belt with 17 enabled Kent to finish on 202 for 4 from 30 overs.

Sussex made 117 for 5 from their 30 overs with only Abbey Freeborn putting up real resistance with a hard fought 61 not out.
